Please note that fabrics for ex-stock fabric may have to be cut to ordered size and cannot be exchanged or returned. All fabrics bought on handloomdenim.org are good quality, inspected and carefully hand-packed before dispatching.

Refunds are not possible for customers outside India. However, please contact us by sending an email to info@denimclubindia.org if fabrics are found to be faulty or damaged – within 3 working days of receipt for ex-stock fabric and within 7 working days days of receipt for custom ordered fabric. The costs for return shipment will have to be borne by the customer.

A big part of the appeal and characteristics of hand-spun, hand-woven and hand-dyed fabrics lies in the irregularity due to the spinning, weaving and dyeing process. These irregularities are in fact perfectly normal characteristics of the fabric, and they should not be considered a defect / fault.

Natural Indigo Bleeding & Crocking
Fabrics which have been dyed with Natural Indigo are expected to bleed and crock in the raw (unwashed) state, this is not a defect but a property of the fabric. And because of the cold dyeing process that we use the bleeding can be expected to be more than with fabrics dyed using heat and industrial processes.

We supply indigo dyed fabric fabric in raw state unless washing is requested by client. The bleeding and crocking will be high for deeper shades of indigo dyed fabric and comparatively lower for lighter shades.

We advise all customers to follow washing instructions and handle the fabrics with care. All fabrics, besides the naturally dyed fabrics can be washed following washing instructions:

• Cold Machine / hand Wash
• Do not bleach
• Iron on Reverse Side

The fabrics dyed using natural dyes need a little extra care and will last by following the washing instructions mentioned below:

• Hand wash or Mild Machine was separately in cold water.
• Dark colors may bleed, must be washed separately
• Mild Detergents/Natural Detergents only
• Do not scrub
• Do not bleach
• Dry on reverse side in shade
• Iron on reverse side
• Do not dry clean

Natural dyeing implies a lot of hand based processes are involved for making these chemical free fabrics. Due to the artisanal method of dyeing, despite best handling there is possibility of patchiness / unevenness in shade as compared to conventional industrially dyed fabric . We will check all fabrics well before shipping to you and we will only forward to you what is acceptable for being natural and only if fabrics are useable.

For new and repeat fabric orders for same shade of naturally dyed fabric the colors and feel can and will vary at times due to the fact that the colors and ingredients used are all from Nature and do not have the same consistency.

Differences may exist between colors as they appear in photos on the fabric’s product page and the actual fabric.

Cancelling an order for free is only possible before the fabric has been cut according to ordered quantities.
